Find the measure of the smaller angle between the hands of a clock at 8:16 am. (Note: in degrees not radians)
Math is not just step by step equations that leads you to an answer. Math requires you to think about what steps are needed in solving such a problem. You have to critically think about which facts are given to you and what the missing piece to the 'puzzle' is. There can be a connection of different methods of learning within one given problem. Math is gifted in the sense that there can be problems that will challenge you to think outside the box. You take the problem, think of all the factors and what could give you the solution; once you find those skills you solve it. This is why math is problem solving.
